The history of Maheshwari Saree dates back to 18th century in the town of Maheshwar in Madhya Pradesh hence the name. These sarees are known to be have a royal look and feel. The six yards of fabric in striking dark green colour is adorned with golden threads across the breadth, adding an icing on the cake to the sheer magnificience. The fabric is a blend of cotton and silk and hence it is lightweight.
